We are pleased to announce we are working with Birmingham based artist Lachenalia to release the album “Acts & Monuments”.

Lachenalia is musician Stuart Estell and a drum machine called Boris.

The album comprises a series of instrumental pieces written for Guitars + tape delay, fretless bass, and an elderly Roland CR-68 drum machine aka Boris. Stuart says  “It’s an attempt at using the whole-tone musical vocabulary of Debussy, Ravel etc. in a kind of Kosmische setting”.

Well we’ve had a listen here at German Shepherd and we think it’s rather wonderful.

We’re aiming to release a single track from the album in May – which will also feature some remix tracks – and the full album in June.
