This week we welcome the return of Mark Corrin with a new album “Trinket Buffet”

“Trinket Buffet” is a short ten track dark comedy mini album recorded in Manchester in the early months of 2022. As the album title (suggested by Paul Millsopp) perhaps suggests it’s a small collection of little amusements to dip into as you wish. There are a lot of silly story songs on this record and the musical styles vary almost from track to track. We start with a drum n bass tale of a lost puppet, then move through John Carpenter style synth pop, folk, industrial, surf punk, country, 80s pop and ambient. Fans of The Bonzo Dog Band, The Fall, Go-Kart Mozart, Denim, They Might Be Giants, Momus, Luke Haines, Ian Dury, Beck, Fatima Mansions and playful experimental pop in general might find some fun to be had with this release.

All songs were written, recorded, mixed, produced and mastered by Mark Corrin.
