New Music from 2 Lost Souls, Mark Corrin and Four Candles

A trio of tasty releases for you this week.

2 Lost Souls continue their massive 52 Singles Project with number 11 “A Line Crossed”. It’s a moody slow paced affair full of emotion and bluesy licks.

Secondly, Mark Corrin is back with a great new release called “Exit Gritty City” which is another in the series of his short ten track mini-albums, recorded in different locations around Manchester in 2022 and early 2023. Featuring five instrumental and five vocal cuts which alternate throughout the record, it has a transitory feel with one foot in the city and another in the outskirts. Stylistically conflicting, it mixes ambient music with hardcore punk, lofi hiphop, comedy electro, psychedelic and more.

And thirdly, the much anticipated final release from Four Candles “Too Old To Die Young”. Already getting rave reviews in Louder Than War this is the band at their protean best. The group has two more gigs to play one this Saturday (8th April) at the Peer Hat as part of Manchester Meltdown, and finally at Stummercap, Oldham Rugby Club in May. CD copies of the album, which is released exclusively on Bandcamp, are available direct from Ian Moss (message him on Facebook) for £5 plus £1.50 p&p.

We shared with you an official video by Paul Rosenfeld last week – here’s another one created by Paul Forshaw (thanks Paul!)
